A recent campaign on raising awareness for Drug Safety and Adverse Events reporting is line with our commitment for patient centricity in everything we do. For patients and physicians, it is very important to be aware of drug safety and adverse events reporting. To this end, Ferozsons launched a social media campaign via which we aim to help people understand the value of reporting any side effects they may have after using a certain medicine. This is an important measure by which the safety of medicines and treatment of patients undergoes a process of continuous improvement. According to WHO, Pharmacovigilance (PV) is defined as the science and activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problem.

-        What is an Adverse Event (AE)?

These are any untoward medical occurrence (signs or symptoms) in a person taking a medicine/medical product whether or not it is thought to be caused by the treatment. They can be serious or non-serious.
